Senior Data Engineer – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the Databricks environment

• Enhancing Spark pipelines and workflows

• Ongoing development of the data platform, covering architecture, data modeling, and best practices

• Creation and management of scalable ELT/ETL pipelines utilizing Airbyte and dbt

• Close partnership with Senior Data Analysts, as well as Engineering, Product, and, when necessary, Compliance teams

• Constructing and managing the data platform

• Proactively influencing the evolution of a modern data platform

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer

• Familiarity with contemporary cloud data stacks

• Extensive experience with Databricks and Apache Spark

• Expertise in dbt and Airbyte

• Strong command of Python and/or SQL

• Organized, self-motivated work style with a robust engineering focus

• Proficient in German and English

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools

• Nice to have: Understanding of Data Vault or Medallion Architecture

• Nice to have: Experience with cloud data warehouses, like Redshift

• Nice to have: Experience with financial data, including broker or customer data
