Senior Data Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead complex data development projects with high levels of intricacy.

• Design and implement robust multi-region data architectures.

• Oversee technical initiatives across multiple teams.

• Act as an expert in financial data management and reporting.

• Create automated tools for data acquisition.

• Establish scalable processes for updates.

• Develop optimized data structures tailored for financial reporting and enterprise data visualization tools.

• Design, construct, and oversee reliable data pipelines, software codebases, and automated processes for data acquisition and updates.

• Architect scalable and resilient integration layers for multi-region databases and data warehouses, including Oracle backends.

• Manage complex software projects related to data infrastructure from inception to completion.

• Enhance and automate data infrastructure utilizing modern provisioning techniques, software design patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with finance, product, and BI teams to establish dependable extraction layers and enhance enterprise visualization capabilities.

• Guide junior engineers and advocate for best practices in software engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering or advanced data engineering, specifically in developing and maintaining financial data platforms and pipelines.

• Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, PHP, and Python.

• Advanced skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization.

• Experience in creating fully automated data acquisition tools, extraction frameworks, and intricate data update workflows that interact with enterprise databases like Oracle.

• Expertise in developing high-performance data structures and semantic layers optimized for contemporary enterprise data presentation tools.

• Capability to independently lead complex technical projects and mentor engineering professionals.

• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting frameworks and automated financial data pipelines.

• Experience in designing zero-downtime, distributed data systems across various cloud platforms.

• Strong foundation in CI/CD, software testing frameworks, and proactive risk management.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
