Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assemble and oversee extensive, intricate datasets that fulfill both functional and non-functional business criteria.

• Recognize, design, and execute internal process enhancements to improve scalability, optimize data delivery, and automate workflows.

• Develop and sustain data pipeline architecture for the effective extraction, transformation, and loading of data.

• Offer technical expertise and assistance for data-related challenges.

• Collaborate with data and analytics specialists to boost data system functionality and performance.

• Design and implement frameworks and microservices that deliver data assets to end-users.

• Conduct root cause analysis on data and processes.

• Counsel business leaders, interpret data influences, and align data strategies with organizational objectives.

• Assess customer needs and contribute to the structural requirements of data architecture.

• Ensure database implementation protocols adhere to pertinent regulations.

• Organize data in cloud storage and establish security protocols.

• Work collaboratively across various organizational teams.

• Document and support secure, resilient, and fault-tolerant architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in data engineering, data analytics, computer engineering, or a related discipline is required.

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or database analytics is necessary.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, Scala, and SQL are essential.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL is required.

• Experience with relational databases is necessary.

• Previous experience with RedShift, Postgres, or Snowflake is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial.

• Exceptional attention to detail is required.

• Effective communication skills with engineers, product managers, and analysts are essential.

• A commitment to creating secure, resilient, and fault-tolerant architectures is expected.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is necessary.
