Business Intelligence Data Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into technical specifications.

• Design, develop, test, and implement SSRS and Power BI reports and dashboards.

• Address data integrity issues within the existing data warehouse.

• Evaluate current datasets to create and build new data models.

• Design, develop, and manage ETL processes to establish new data models and ensure data accuracy and timeliness.

• Work with stakeholders to formulate a strategic vision for business intelligence and analytics requirements.

• Partner with IT to identify and execute data management and protection strategies and processes.

• Offer end-user support.

• Generate and update system documentation as changes occur.

• Carry out additional tasks as necessary to fulfill departmental or company objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with the Microsoft BI ecosystem (SQL Server, .NET, SSRS, and/or Power BI).

• Proficient in creating and distributing Microsoft Power BI reports.

• Strong grasp of data warehouse principles, structures, and best practices.

• Capability to analyze existing source data systems to create and develop new data models.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as well as work independently.

• Solid T-SQL skill set.

• Experience with Azure DevOps.

• Proficient in using ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, SSIS, or Informatica.

• Comfortable working with data sources such as SQL, text, XML, CSV, MS Azure, Flow, and Logic Apps.

• Capacity to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and adhere to deadlines in a fully remote setting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills via phone, email, and virtual collaboration platforms.

• Detail-oriented and dependable, with a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and quality standards.
