Senior Data Integration Specialist – Smart Grid Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Become part of a four-member team

• Develop the digital twin of electricity networks in Venios.Net

• Design and oversee the functional and technical architecture

• Integrate various data sources and systems, such as GIS, SCADA, metering systems, asset data, and weather and forecast information

• Validate the accuracy of delivered data

• Collaborate effectively with project management, product management, development, DevOps, and clients

• Serve as a technical advisor

• Assist with pilot projects and rollouts as part of the implementation team

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, ideally in computer science, geoinformatics, electrical engineering, or physics

• Multiple years of programming experience, preferably in high-level languages like C#

• Several years of experience as a data integrator, system integrator, or in a similar position

• Proficient in handling complex data models, integration architectures, and APIs

• Ideally, familiarity with the energy sector or smart-grid environments

• Preferably, knowledge of electricity-grid structures and geographic information systems

• Understanding of IT architectures, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and data architectures

• Excellent proficiency in German and English

• Strong communication skills with the ability to clarify complex concepts

• Must reside in or hold a valid work permit for Germany or Austria
