This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in fulfilling the customer’s objectives, which encompass application development, rapid prototyping, standards creation, and the research and development of innovative technologies.

• Aid in database administration, data engineering, and data architecture tasks.

• Recognize target data architectures and execute migrations from Oracle RDBMS to open-source databases like Postgres.

• Support application teams in transforming existing PL/SQL and other code from Oracle to Postgres, as well as potentially other databases.

• Collaborate with application teams to enhance current data models and data structures as required.

• Work closely with application teams in a Data Developer capacity.

• Transform PL/SQL procedures and functions into new application code.

• Contribute to schema and model enhancements.

• Assist with ETL support and automation requirements.

• Provide database administration assistance as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizenship with the capability to secure a Public Trust clearance.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or higher is preferred.

• SQL Developer experience (5+ years).

• Proficiency in Postgres (4+ years).

• Experience with Oracle DB (3+ years).

• Database Administration experience (4+ years).

• Development skills (5+ years).

• Experience in supporting large-scale federal government IT modernization projects is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) environments and extensive data integration initiatives.

• Candidates must be US Citizens to fulfill clearance criteria.

• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, which includes criminal history, education verification, professional certification validation, previous employment verification, and credit history.

• Fingerprinting is required for the Public Trust background investigation.
