Principal Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across both batch and real-time architectures.

• Develop and enhance data models, transformations, and workflows utilizing SQL, Python, and dbt.

• Create and manage integrations across cloud data platforms, data warehouses, and external data sources.

• Enhance database performance, data reliability, and cost efficiency through effective monitoring and optimization.

• Execute data quality checks, unit tests, and validation processes.

• Convert customer engagement and CRM requirements into data models and pipelines that support Braze and other platforms.

• Handle customer events, user attributes, identity resolution, and data synchronization.

• Collaborate with Data, Analytics, CRM, and CDP teams to align with client requirements and business objectives.

• Offer technical leadership, guidance, and best engineering practices.

• Identify opportunities for AI tools, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies.

• Support multiple client engagements while clearly communicating technical recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or a comparable technical position.

• More than 4 years of practical experience with SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.

• At least 2 years of experience using Python to develop data applications and transformations.

• Hands-on experience with dbt and modular data transformation techniques.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with modern data integration tools.

• Solid understanding of data architecture, pipeline design, database performance, testing, and data quality.

• Experience in translating business and customer engagement needs into dependable data solutions.

• Background in an agency or consulting setting, managing multiple clients and adapting to changing priorities.

• Capability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 level or equivalent).

• Must possess a valid work visa; sponsorship is not available.
