This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Construct and enhance data systems that drive product insights and inform decision-making.
• Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and engineers to create scalable data pipelines.
• Enhance data infrastructure to ensure reliable data is accessible across various teams.
• Collect data from databases, APIs, event tracking tools like PostHog, and spreadsheets.
• Verify that the gathered data is accurate, complete, and pertinent to business inquiries.
• Design, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for a variety of data sources.
• Oversee and enhance data infrastructure utilizing GCP and contemporary cloud services.
• Automate data workflows, monitoring processes, and quality assurance checks.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data across different systems.
• Work in conjunction with analytics and engineering teams throughout the data ingestion and analysis phases.
• Safeguard that data is secure, well-documented, and easily accessible.
• Contribute to shaping the technical strategies and operational practices of the expanding Data team.
• Integrate both on-chain and off-chain data into a unified user model.
• Enhance pipeline performance and manage query costs as on-chain data volumes increase.
• Over 7 years of professional experience in a Data Engineer role or a similar position involving large-scale data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly for developing data processing pipelines.
• Practical experience with ETL/ELT tools, ideally dbt, and data orchestration techniques.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or comparable solutions.
• Excellent SQL skills.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably GCP, for data storage, computation, and orchestration.
• Knowledge of Git and data CI/CD workflows for version-controlled and testable data deployments.
• Experience incorporating AI tools like Claude Code into an engineering workflow.
• Proficient in using Excel or Google Sheets for quick analyses and pivot tables.
• Preferred: experience in fintech, banking, insurance, or the Web3 sector.
• Preferred: experience in processing on-chain data from sources such as Dune or Solscan.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with analytics and engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, adaptability, teamwork, and a sense of ownership.
