Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance Evolve Reach's data lake.

• Establish new data ingestion workflows.

• Supervise current data processing operations.

• Construct and sustain data ingestion frameworks.

• Design efficient Python data ingestion processes utilizing APIs, S3, and SFTP.

• Utilize AWS services including Athena, Iceberg, Parquet, Glue, Lambda, ECS, and Redshift.

• Set up AWS infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Implement observability tools to ensure data reliability.

• Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and business teams to guarantee seamless data delivery.

• Clearly communicate technical design choices.

• Produce thorough documentation.

• Uphold unit testing standards.

• Advocate for data quality, inclusivity, and non-discrimination.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in advanced Python, particularly with Pandas and AWS Wrangler.

• Strong command of SQL, including DDL and DML.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS services such as Athena, Glue, S3, Lambda, ECS, and Redshift.

• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

• Background in unit testing for data workflows.

• Familiarity with pipeline observability.

• Capacity to convey complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to promote teamwork across various teams.

• Skill in managing multiple priorities independently.
