Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Innovate new data solutions at Qventus

• Direct the design, development, and oversight of data assets and data pipelines

• Identify, assess, and incorporate new datasets, including pipeline development and data modeling/documentation

• Work collaboratively with key data stakeholders to comprehend dataset impact and relevance to core products and healthcare

• Manage data assets technically throughout the dataset lifecycle

• Sustain partnerships on data ingestion and solution engineering

• Convert product and analytical vision into effective, reliable, modular, and secure data pipelines

• Design data structures and create and schedule data transformation pipelines

• Enhance the transparency of data products

• Establish company standards for data engineering practices

• Advise on architectural strategies, data pipeline designs, and the integration of emerging technologies

• Collaborate with data modeling leads, integration partners, solution experts, cross-functional teams, and data users

• Create strategic improvements to the foundational data model

• Convert functional needs into data requirements and quality assurance checks

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding cross-functional communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Capability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns and anomalies, and derive meaningful insights

• Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing high-quality data pipelines

• Ability to independently navigate ambiguous project requirements and lead data initiatives from conception to completion

• Over 5 years of experience in designing, constructing, and managing cloud-based, highly available, observable, and scalable data platforms utilizing large, diverse datasets in production environments

• Familiarity with MLOps and/or the development and maintenance of machine learning models and infrastructure

• Experience with data visualization tools and analytics technologies such as Sigma, Looker, and Tableau

• Relevant industry certifications are advantageous, including Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Data Engineer or Solutions Architect Professional, SnowPro Advanced Architect/Data Engineer, Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer, and dbt Analytics Engineering

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus

• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test is required

• Experience in healthcare is preferred
