Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage scalable data pipelines for ingesting and processing substantial volumes of security telemetry.

• Take ownership of API and event stream integrations involving third-party EDR, IAM, Cloud, and SaaS data sources.

• Develop and sustain a transformation layer that yields a normalized, enriched, and queryable data model.

• Create an engine that correlates entities across various data sources.

• Enhance search capabilities across extensive data sets.

• Collaborate with detection engineers, threat hunters, and product engineers to fulfill platform data requirements.

• Establish and advocate for data engineering standards and best practices, including observability, monitoring, and automated testing.

• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of Nebulock’s platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in building data pipelines for customer-facing products.

• Familiarity with data warehousing technologies.

• Proficient in Python, Java, Go, Rust, or similar programming languages.

• Practical experience with large-scale event streaming systems such as Kafka or similar technologies.

• Experience with AWS or GCP.

• Strong systems thinking with a solid grasp of performance, cost, and complexity trade-offs.

• Ability to adapt, iterate, and deliver swiftly.

• Eagerness for growth and a preference for working in a low-ego environment.

• Nice to have: Experience with ClickHouse.

• Nice to have: Experience in building or working with search systems over extensive datasets.

• Nice to have: Background in DevOps or platform engineering.

• Nice to have: Experience in cybersecurity.

• Nice to have: Experience in a startup environment.
