Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the analytics team and business partners across Kele companies to establish data requirements and facilitate business intelligence and reporting.

• Design, construct, test, and sustain data architectures, databases, and datasets for predictive or prescriptive modeling.

• Foster communication between business stakeholders and internal resources while creating, implementing, and delegating data-related responsibilities.

• Establish databases by merging internal and external data sources.

• Enhance the performance, stability, reliability, efficiency, quality, and governance of data sources and processes.

• Partner with the IT team to oversee the company's data infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve data transfer mechanisms, including pipelines and ETL processes.

• Manage multiple data warehouse environments in alignment with CI/CD and SDLC principles.

• Enable and execute data migrations across databases and servers, including on-premise SQL servers.

• Optimize stored procedures, replication, and nightly jobs for better performance.

• Document and monitor work in Jira.

• Utilize Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory to develop pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining data architectures, databases, and datasets.

• Familiarity with data warehousing, data processes, and data governance.

• Expertise in creating databases by integrating internal and external data sources.

• Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Background in maintaining data warehouse environments and supporting CI/CD and SDLC principles.

• Experience in executing data migrations across databases and servers, including on-premise SQL servers.

• Proficiency in enhancing stored procedures, replication, and nightly jobs.

• Experience with Jira.

• Knowledge of Azure SQL.

• Experience with Azure Data Factory.

• Strong ability to collaborate with analytics teams, business partners, and IT teams.

• Capability to understand and define data requirements.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing data transfer mechanics.
