Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and scale comprehensive ingestion → catalog → derived pipelines across all primary data domains supporting InfraSpec.

• Spearhead the technical transition from legacy and single-owner scripts to a robust platform.

• Design the greenfield graph database layer for RouteFinder.

• Establish and uphold rigorous data contracts, consistency checks, and quality gates that support the Winston automated intake workflow.

• Ensure strict observability and automated testing throughout all data flows to maintain pipeline rework within the 20% target threshold.

• Define, enforce, and sustain data schemas and contracts across ingestion pipelines for downstream confidence scoring and matching algorithms.

• Act as the senior anchor for Data Foundation based in the US, collaborating daily with team members in Poland and the VP of Technology.

• Collaborate with NA Data Science / ML engineers, Intelligence Engine teams, and Trust teams to enhance downstream capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of specialized data engineering experience, showcasing a proven track record as a senior individual contributor managing complex data platform architectures.

• Advanced expertise in SQL and Postgres.

• Proficient coding skills in Python.

• Extensive hands-on experience with contemporary data warehouse methodologies (dbt or equivalent).

• Significant experience in designing large-scale ELT/ETL pipelines, data contracts, schema governance, and robust data modeling frameworks.

• In-depth practical experience utilizing AWS native services for storage, orchestration, compute, and data processing.

• Must be a US-based full-time employee.

• Availability during US business hours.

• Fluent written and verbal English communication skills for effective collaboration in a global team.

• Practical experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, AWS Neptune), ideally used in network topology, geospatial routing, or graph-based search models (bonus qualification).

• Experience with real-time or event-driven ingestion architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, etc.) (bonus qualification).

• Direct experience in establishing enterprise data observability or data-quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, Soda, etc.) (bonus qualification).

• Experience in creating feature pipelines for ML matching models (bonus qualification).

• Familiarity with data in the telecommunications, datacenter, or digital infrastructure domains (bonus qualification).
