Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

• Serve as a data specialist and spearhead innovation within the department.

• Engage in high-profile initiatives that have a wide-ranging impact.

• Analyze, design, and execute internal process enhancements.

• Streamline manual processes and improve data delivery efficiency.

• Revamp infrastructure to enhance scalability.

• Create, develop, program, test, and document architectures and applications.

• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to ensure designs, architectures, and deliverables align with business requirements and industry best practices.

• Diagnose and resolve a variety of data-related issues.

• Suggest enhancements to data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Design and implement cutting-edge big data platforms for advanced analytics and data processing.

• Construct scalable solutions utilizing modern technology stacks.

• Provide support to software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data-centric initiatives.

• Ensure a consistently optimal data delivery architecture across ongoing projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5-8 years of directly relevant experience.

• Familiarity with Agile SDLC methodology.

• Proficient in SQL and T-SQL programming.

• Experience in building data/ETL pipelines and data warehouses.

• Strong expertise in data modeling, database maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning on SQL Server, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.

• Excellent analytical skills for examining large and complex data sets.

• Comprehensive testing and validation of data transformations.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with accurate documentation.

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Analytical and creative thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.

• Proficient knowledge in modern cloud computing technologies.

• Successful completion of a background check and credit check as a condition of employment, where permissible by applicable law.

• Willingness to perform duties outside of normal working hours based on business needs.
