Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold efficient data integration pipelines for prompt analytical processes.

• Create scalable tools and collaborate with data warehousing systems to assist clients.

• Utilize Spark, Python, and SQL to execute ETL on billions of location records daily.

• Deploy pipelines in AWS EMR and Airflow to produce customer-oriented data products.

• Construct intricate SQL queries, including geospatial SQL, for data analysis.

• Develop Tableau dashboards to present data-driven insights.

• Write scripts in Python, Spark, and PostGIS to gather and refine spatial data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

• At least 4 years of practical experience with Spark.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to handle complex joins and window functions.

• Knowledge of orchestration systems, preferably Airflow.

• Familiarity with AWS data engineering tools (S3, EMR, Athena) or comparable tools from other cloud services.

• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial approach.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• A strong enthusiasm for data.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, or other Engineering fields.

• Working knowledge of Scala.

• Skilled in building Tableau dashboards.

• Experience with spatial data, including joins and operations.

• Familiarity with Snowflake.

• Background in Machine Learning.

• Experience in the AdTech or Cybersecurity industries.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Ability to work remotely from one of the eligible states.
