This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and oversee cloud-based systems on behalf of BMC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine suitable solutions and implement system enhancements.
• Create, implement, and manage cloud-based data solutions, including the transfer of data between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Optimize data storage while ensuring security and compliance.
• Develop data pipelines and scalable data processing systems in cloud environments.
• Design, build, and test data lakes, data warehouses, data lake houses, and databases.
• Create and implement data pipelines using cloud-native tools and services.
• Design ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
• Write and refine SQL and Python queries for data retrieval and analysis.
• Enhance data workflows to boost performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with leadership, analysts, Research, and cross-functional teams to establish data requirements and reporting needs.
• Implement data solutions that align with business and technical objectives.
• Apply data governance, access controls, security, and compliance standards.
• Offer system troubleshooting and support.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in data engineering or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Preferred experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle Data Models, Microsoft Fabric, or Amazon S3 and Redshift.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of data warehousing and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
• Ability to create and document end-to-end processes, including steps, dependencies, systems of record, and roles of involved parties.
• Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills, capable of interacting across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with outstanding proofreading and editing abilities.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
