Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide high-quality, modern data solutions.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, analysts, data scientists, and product teams in an agile setting.

• Design, integrate, and deploy on-premises data solutions.

• Assist in migrating existing workloads to the cloud.

• Create and develop data solutions utilizing contemporary programming languages.

• Process claims, revenue, Medicare-specific files, and data from over 30 payors into the data warehouse.

• Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices.

• Diagnose data issues and apply techniques for performance improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems.

• More than 3 years of experience with cloud technologies.

• At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Databricks.

• Knowledge of Azure is preferred.

• Proficient in programming and modifying code using SQL, Python, and PySpark.

• Practical experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.

• Proven experience troubleshooting data issues.

• Experience with performance improvement techniques.

• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.

• Ability to take ownership and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented support environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with healthcare data and insurance feeds is advantageous.

• A Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or relevant professional qualifications are preferred; equivalent years of experience in Computer Science or related fields are acceptable.
