Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional and contemporary data solutions.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, analysts, data scientists, and product teams in a dynamic agile setting.

• Design, integrate, and execute on-premise data solutions.

• Assist in migrating existing workloads to cloud environments.

• Create and develop data solutions utilizing modern programming languages.

• Process Claims, Revenue, Medicare-specific files, and data from over 30 payors into the data warehouse.

• Recognize and implement process enhancements and best practices.

• Diagnose data issues and enhance performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with SQL and relational database management systems.

• At least 3 years of experience in cloud technologies.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Databricks.

• Knowledge of Azure is preferred.

• Proficient in programming and modifying code in SQL, Python, and PySpark.

• Practical experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.

• Direct experience troubleshooting data issues.

• Experience with performance improvement strategies.

• Eagerness to identify and implement process enhancements and best practices.

• Capability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented support environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with specialized training or relevant professional qualifications; Computer Science or equivalent years of relevant experience.

• Familiarity with healthcare data and healthcare insurance feeds is advantageous.
