Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and development of extensive data architectures.

• Supervise and mentor junior engineers while promoting technical excellence and establishing team standards.

• Address complex data engineering challenges and resolve performance-related issues.

• Ensure that vital data infrastructure is scalable, secure, resilient, and efficient.

• Collaborate with senior leadership on data strategy and organizational requirements.

• Guide technical teams and influence architectural choices.

• Lead high-impact initiatives that shape the organization's data infrastructure.

• Formulate long-term strategies for data architecture and take part in data governance efforts.

• Oversee enterprise-level data systems and infrastructure.

• Design and deploy sophisticated data processing frameworks, scalable data warehouses, and data lakes.

• Utilize expertise in programming languages, Big Data technologies, distributed systems, cloud data platforms, and ETL/ELT methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in leading the design, implementation, and development of intricate data engineering solutions and large-scale data architectures.

• Proven history of managing high-impact projects that shape enterprise-level data infrastructure and developing long-term data architecture strategies.

• Significant experience in contributing to data governance and ensuring the resilience and security of critical data infrastructure.

• Expert proficiency in various programming languages and Big Data technologies.

• Knowledge of Talend is mandatory.

• In-depth expertise in distributed data systems, cloud data platforms, and advanced ETL/ELT methodologies.

• Proven ability to architect scalable data warehouses and data lakes while troubleshooting complex system performance issues.

• Strong expertise in AWS.

• Strong database expertise.

• Experience as a Scrum Master would be advantageous.
