This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Convert client business goals into scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platform architectures utilizing Databricks.
• Manage the migration of legacy data warehouses, the deployment of lakehouses, and the development of enterprise analytics solutions.
• Design, construct, and implement comprehensive data ingestion pipelines and transformation workflows.
• Support the definition of professional services engagements by creating technical solution designs, architectural blueprints, and effort estimates.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, client engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality technical execution.
• Resolve intricate implementation challenges.
• Produce architectural documentation and establish best practices that promote long-term client self-sufficiency.
• Lead client engagements in data engineering, advanced analytics, and AI projects.
• Work together with client stakeholders, enterprise partners, and internal engineering teams to transition legacy systems and implement production-grade lakehouse architectures.
• Over 8 years of practical experience in data engineering, data architecture, or big data platform development.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing and Apache Spark.
• Scala experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of building and deploying modern data platforms using Databricks or similar technologies.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation.
• Understanding of DevOps best practices for data operations (DataOps).
• Experience with managing production-grade pipelines.
• Exceptional consulting abilities.
• Proven capability to lead technical workshops, articulate complex concepts to key stakeholders, and guide architectural decisions.
• Preferred hands-on experience in deploying machine learning platforms and production MLOps workflows.
• Demonstrated success in migrating legacy ETL/data warehouse environments to modern cloud data platforms is preferred.
• Active Databricks certifications are preferred.
• Prior experience in enterprise professional services, technical consulting, or client-facing solutions engineering is preferred.
• In-depth exploration of modern Lakehouse architectures (Medallion model, Delta Lake, PySpark).
