Senior Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, documentation, and execution of innovative, scalable data architectures (Lakehouse) utilizing GCP and Databricks.

• Oversee and guarantee the successful completion of intricate data migration initiatives from on-premises settings to the cloud or across different cloud platforms.

• Establish data ingestion, processing, and consumption standards, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency in infrastructure (FinOps).

• Uphold best practices in dimensional, relational, and NoSQL data modeling, along with medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

• Assist in defining Data Governance, data quality, lineage, and security protocols (LGPD).

• Act as the main technical authority for Engineering and Data Science teams, providing support for complex decision-making.

• Foster a data-driven culture and mentor junior professionals, encouraging the ongoing enhancement of the Data Chapter.

• Collaborate with Livelo stakeholders and business leaders to convert business requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Design, develop, and ensure the sustainability of modern, highly scalable cloud data architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical, essential experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.

• More than 3 years of significant, hands-on experience with Databricks, encompassing Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and cluster optimization.

• Demonstrated experience in managing structured and unstructured data migration projects and architecting new solutions from scratch.

• Strong background working as a Data Architect or in a Lead/Principal Data Engineer role.

• Expertise in PySpark, Python, and advanced SQL for large-scale data processing tasks.

• Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture and implementing CI/CD pipelines for data (DataOps).

• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling concepts and Data Mesh principles.

• Exceptional communication abilities to convey technical ideas to business stakeholders and lead architectural discussions.

• Official GCP certifications are advantageous: Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect.

• Official Databricks certifications are beneficial: Certified Data Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.

• Background in the loyalty, e-commerce, payments, or financial services industries.
