Senior Data Analyst, Claims Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Analyze claims data and convey conclusions both in writing and verbally to internal stakeholders.

• Extract insights from intricate and diverse claims data and reports.

• Present findings to senior leadership.

• Address urgent and time-sensitive requests.

• Generate routine and ad hoc information with a quick turnaround.

• Lead the creation or enhancement of complex reports and tools across multiple business lines.

• Work autonomously while utilizing resources as necessary.

• Assess the impact of internal operational modifications and external trends on frequency, severity, and overall loss outcomes.

• Cultivate industry knowledge and internal data proficiency to tackle complex business challenges.

• Monitor external industry trends and best practices.

• Collaborate with the team and management to develop innovative solutions.

• Utilize existing information to resolve business issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline (preferably in math, finance, actuarial science, or analytics).

• 4-6+ years of relevant analytical experience within the property and casualty industry is preferred.

• Proven problem-solving abilities and experience in conducting exploratory data analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Intermediate skills in SQL.

• Capability to effectively manage large and complex data sets.

• Ability to transform raw data into actionable insights.

• Skill in summarizing complex business concepts through written and verbal communication, including PowerPoint presentations.

• Understanding of essential industry financial and operational metrics.

• Strong organizational, project management, and time management abilities.

• Capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.

• Proficient in using a personal computer and standard office equipment.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.

• Capability to sit and/or stand for extended durations.
