Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct fundamental data profiling on datasets to assess completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

• Document results and highlight data quality concerns to the team.

• Assist in preparing data quality reports for stakeholder evaluation.

• Acquire knowledge and utilize Microsoft Purview for everyday data governance tasks.

• Register data assets and update data catalog entries.

• Adhere to established governance procedures and document the processes followed.

• Collaborate with business teams to comprehend daily data usage.

• Create definitions for business terms and basic data rules derived from profiling outcomes.

• Maintain the business glossary.

• Aid in the standardization of data formats, naming conventions, and values across various systems.

• Identify discrepancies and coordinate data cleansing initiatives.

• Initiate and oversee small-scale data informatics projects.

• Ensure compliance with data informatics standards.

• Design and deliver training sessions.

• Provide constructive feedback to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Science, Informatics, or a related discipline.

• 2–3 years of experience in data informatics or data analysis.

• Familiarity with Group Insurance data domains.

• Basic knowledge of databases, tables, and data types.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel or similar applications.

• Experience with SQL is preferred.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Excel is advantageous.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

• Effective communicator, capable of asking questions and articulating clearly.

• Eagerness to learn new tools and processes with guidance.

• Well-organized, dependable, and comfortable in a team environment.
