Health Plan Data Analyst II, Health Plan Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Extract, analyze, report, track, and monitor provider data across various business functions, systems, and interfaces.

• Assist with ongoing provider data operations and new market implementations as part of the Health Partner Lifecycle team.

• Conduct disruption analysis for designated markets.

• Transform large volumes of complex data into meaningful formats for tracking and status requirements.

• Act as Project Manager for specific Health Partner Lifecycle initiatives.

• Create performance improvement initiatives and corrective action plans to enhance provider data quality and network development.

• Oversee provider network data management and reporting tasks.

• Design database structures and reports as necessary.

• Generate queries for information retrieval, validation, and updating of provider databases.

• Evaluate provider organizations and systems to produce analyses that support contract negotiation and provider recruitment.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather information for provider network reporting and analyses.

• Coordinate and monitor State files, hospital, physician, and ancillary recruitment information.

• Prepare NCQA documentation for the assigned markets.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for provider data and its impact on downstream processes.

• Carry out other job duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.

• At least three (3) years of data analysis experience or experience in a healthcare setting is required.

• Proficiency with the Cognizant Facets Provider application is required.

• Experience in managed care is preferred.

• Project management experience is preferred.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.

• Knowledge and understanding of the Facets data model.

• Proficient in data analysis and the use of analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI.

• SQL capabilities are necessary.

• Experience with Visio and PowerPoint is preferred.

• Familiarity with provider data repositories and directories is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines.

• High degree of flexibility as projects and priorities evolve.
