This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Evaluate claims data and convey findings in both written and verbal formats to internal stakeholders.
• Extract insights from intricate and diverse claims data and reports.
• Present outcomes to senior management.
• Address urgent and time-sensitive inquiries.
• Generate routine and on-demand information in a fast-paced environment.
• Spearhead the creation or enhancement of complex reports and tools across various business lines.
• Operate autonomously while utilizing resources as needed.
• Assess the effects of internal operational modifications and external trends on frequency, severity, and overall loss outcomes.
• Cultivate industry knowledge and internal data proficiency to address intricate business challenges.
• Keep track of external industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with the team and management to devise innovative solutions.
• Evaluate discrepancies in loss results compared to the plan.
• Identify and relay potential improvement opportunities within Claims and other departments.
• Develop reporting analytics for quicker and more comprehensive insights.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical field (preferred fields include math, finance, actuarial science, or analytics).
• 4-6+ years of relevant analytical experience in the property and casualty industry is preferred (e.g., actuarial, business analytics, or finance).
• Proven problem-solving abilities and proficiency in exploratory data analysis.
• Advanced expertise in Excel.
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL.
• Capability to work efficiently with large and complex data sets.
• Skill in transforming raw data into meaningful insights.
• Ability to articulate complex business concepts in both written and oral communications, including presentations in PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with key industry financial and operational metrics.
• Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
• Capacity to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining quality work.
• Proficiency in using a personal computer and standard office equipment.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
• Full-time, exempt position.
