This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Analyze intricate scientific datasets to reveal insights and bolster strategic initiatives.
• Outline business process rules to ensure data solutions are in harmony with operational realities.
• Develop insight-driven solutions aimed at critical KPIs and performance metrics.
• Perform comprehensive analyses and deliver evidence-based recommendations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements for current and upcoming products.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and User Acceptance Testing for new data, products, and analytics solutions.
• Examine business processes and create business flow and data flow diagrams.
• Work collaboratively across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Conduct data profiling, mining, validation, and testing.
• Execute ad-hoc analyses and present findings clearly.
• Foster collaborative and trusting relationships within the business environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Computer Science is advantageous.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to comprehend complex datasets with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in converting requirements into well-written user stories.
• Strong business acumen and capability to collaborate with business partners.
• Skill in identifying key areas for in-depth analysis.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in the life sciences or biotechnology sector is a plus.
• Must reside in Canada.
• At least 5 years of experience in writing complex SQL queries, as well as data mining, profiling, and validation/testing.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Data Analyst specializing in Data & Analytics, ideally in a senior or lead capacity.
• At least 5 years of experience organizing and conducting User Acceptance Testing cycles and training with business users and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy.
• Experience working within Agile Software Development Methodology.
