Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and manage intricate SQL queries for the Snowflake data warehouse.

• Create and sustain dbt models that convert raw data into well-documented, tested, and reusable datasets.

• Design dashboards, applications, and reports using Hex.

• Collaborate with teams to establish metrics, outline analyses, and translate unclear questions into analytical tasks.

• Examine discrepancies in key metrics, determine root causes, and present findings along with recommendations.

• Keep documentation updated across dbt and Hex platforms.

• Validate data sources, rigorously assess assumptions, and identify data deficiencies.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance analysis and reporting, ensuring output accuracy.

• Guide fellow analysts on best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data analytics or a related discipline.

• Proficient SQL skills, encompassing window functions, CTEs, query optimization, and handling large, complex datasets.

• Practical experience with Snowflake as the primary data warehouse.

• Experience in developing and maintaining dbt models within a production analytics setting, including tests and documentation.

• Familiarity with creating reports in Hex or a comparable notebook-based analytics platform.

• Proven ability to manage analyses from initial scoping to final delivery and follow-up.

• Capability to articulate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and defend methodologies employed.

• Working knowledge of AI tools in analytics, with sound judgment in validating outputs and managing sensitive data.
