This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Lead and manage the security authorization process for systems and applications, ensuring adherence to NIST guidelines and DoD regulations.
• Navigate through the Risk Management Framework lifecycle.
• Create security documentation and perform risk assessments.
• Guarantee that systems uphold high standards of security and compliance.
• Collaborate with COTR and Sponsor Staff management to enhance the technical and operational effectiveness of capabilities.
• Suggest ongoing improvements to cyber defense processes and architectures, including analysis, incident handling, reporting products, and the reporting lifecycle.
• Ensure the efficient operation of Agency IT systems and network defenses.
• Provide incident response capabilities and reports that enhance situational awareness.
• Integrate information and consolidate data into actionable events using available tools.
• Automate labor-intensive and inefficient cyber defense processes.
• Propose and execute technical solutions with the Sponsor to optimize time for mission objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proven experience in security risk assessment and management within cloud environments (GCP preferred).
• Experience in constructing authorization packages.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• An active Secret clearance or interim Secret clearance is required.
• Verification of identity and completion of necessary employment eligibility verification is required upon hire.
