This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications that support GSS Security.
• Create new features utilizing ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL Server.
• Design and enhance SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for extensive enterprise datasets.
• Resolve complex issues across application code, SQL Server, and production environments.
• Streamline manual compliance processes through automated software solutions.
• Collaborate with system stakeholders to convert operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Engage in code reviews, testing, deployments, and activities aimed at continuous improvement.
• Maintain and modernize existing applications while also developing new capabilities.
• Document technical designs, database alterations, and application functionalities.
• Operate across the entire application stack, including databases, backend services, web applications, and production troubleshooting.
• Function within an agile team and DevOps framework.
• Collaborate with personnel from GSS Center of Excellence and Digital Technology partners.
• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering.
• An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before the start date.
• A current Secret security clearance is necessary from day one.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Candidates must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories.
• Proficient in designing SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, indexes, and optimizing queries.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including Azure DevOps, Git, Pull Requests, CI/CD, and work item management.
• Competency in C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or ASP.NET MVC.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Stored Procedures, REST APIs, JSON, jQuery, Bootstrap, DataTables, IIS, Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Background in Agile development methods, Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration is preferable.
• Experience in developing applications that support cybersecurity, compliance, governance, or enterprise operations is preferred.
• Understanding of layered, event-tier, microkernel, and other software development architectural frameworks is advantageous.
• Experience in implementing compliance regulations such as DFARS, DAAPM, JASIG, ICD, FAA, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, and/or other government requirements is preferred.
