Senior Cyber Security Analyst – SOC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable advisor on matters related to cybersecurity issues and trends.

• Provide consulting services leveraging security expertise and industry best practices.

• Create, implement, and sustain security solutions that safeguard information assets and infrastructure.

• Address and resolve intricate security incidents.

• Document incidents and offer escalation support as necessary.

• Monitor systems for irregularities and disruptions.

• Take prompt action to mitigate security risks.

• Conduct research on security vulnerabilities.

• Offer actionable recommendations regarding emerging threats.

• Mentor, coach, and provide constructive feedback to members of the security team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as an IT Security Administrator in private, public, and hybrid cloud settings.

• Strong understanding of security fundamentals and networking principles.

• Practical experience with security tools, vulnerability assessments, anti-malware solutions, file integrity monitoring, and data loss prevention measures.

• Active certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CompTIA Security+, or an equivalent security credential.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for security workflows and processes.

• Knowledge of Unix and Microsoft operating systems, along with related products.

• Experience in developing and designing security policies, including account management, password/key management, and threat assessment frameworks.

• Proven capability to assess and recommend new or replacement security technologies.

• Experience in creating and maintaining recovery procedures.

• Must be eligible to work in Colombia.
