Senior Counsel – Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic legal insights throughout the entire lifecycle of DailyPay’s products and services.

• Oversee detailed legal evaluations of new product features, service enhancements, and AI-driven workflows from conception to launch and subsequent iterations.

• Establish legal strategies for the product development roadmap.

• Provide guidance to Product, Engineering, Design, and executive leadership on compliant and scalable product innovation.

• Act as a subject matter expert on consumer financial protection, EFTA/Regulation E, TILA/Regulation Z, UDAAP, money transmission, and EWA frameworks.

• Collaborate with Design, Content, and Marketing teams on compliant user experiences, disclosures, and marketing/affiliate initiatives.

• Address product-legal challenges while balancing commercial goals and regulatory safety.

• Coordinate with sponsor banks, payment processors, and payment networks regarding platform features and standards.

• Draft and negotiate intricate product agreements, platform partnerships, and strategic integrations.

• Maintain product-legal playbooks, automated compliance templates, and review frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of legal experience.

• Training from a prestigious law firm.

• Experience in-house within a fintech or a highly regulated technology firm.

• Expert-level understanding of consumer financial services regulations, including EFTA/Regulation E, TILA/Regulation Z, and UDAAP.

• Familiarity with money transmission and Earned Wage Access regulatory frameworks.

• Proven experience in supporting payments/fintech product launches.

• Background in affiliate marketing programs.

• Experience navigating complex commercial contracts in iterative settings.

• Ability to convey legal concepts into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active Bar membership in good standing.

• Commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics.
