This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Act as the main legal advisor to HR and business leaders concerning daily employment issues across APAC and EMEA.
• Provide counsel throughout the entire employee lifecycle, which includes onboarding, performance management, leaves of absence, accommodations, and separations.
• Create and develop scalable global Employment Legal programs, encompassing template libraries, playbooks, policies, and training materials.
• Manage cross-border initiatives such as market entry, reorganizations, workforce transitions, and integration related to M&A.
• Conduct and supervise internal investigations while collaborating with the Litigation team on employment-related disputes and claims.
• Keep track of legislative and regulatory changes, offering practical guidance and compliance updates accordingly.
• Draft, review, and adapt employment agreements, offer letters, employee handbooks, restrictive covenants, and separation agreements.
• Provide advice on global immigration and visa issues, including UK and EU sponsorship, work authorization, and UK sponsor license compliance.
• Collaborate with the People team on compensation, benefits, and workforce initiatives.
• Lead compliance audits focused on wage and hour issues, pay equity, and worker classification, and offer guidance for remediation.
• Conduct training sessions on labor and employment legal updates and promote the adoption of best practices.
• Analyze data and trends to identify systemic workforce risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Report to the Managing Counsel, Employment, and collaborate with HR, People, Litigation, and business leaders.
• J.D. or an equivalent law degree.
• Active bar admission or practicing qualification in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Over 7 years of employment law experience following law school graduation.
• Significant experience advising on employment issues within APAC and/or EMEA.
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional, cross-border employment challenges in a rapidly expanding global organization.
• Proven experience in developing or scaling employment law programs, including policies, templates, training, and audits.
• Comfortable providing advice beyond your primary jurisdiction and coordinating with local or external counsel.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Capacity to influence senior leaders and convey complex legal matters into actionable guidance.
• Ability to work independently amid uncertainty and handle a high-volume workload across multiple regions.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Proficiency in an additional language such as German, French, Spanish, Tagalog, or Japanese is highly advantageous.
