πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Offer daily employment-law guidance to the People team, covering human resources policies and procedures.

β€’ Oversee the Company's approach to potential employment-law disputes.

β€’ Provide legal counsel on possible or impending claims and civil actions involving the Company.

β€’ Draft risk assessments and settlement alternatives for litigation cases.

β€’ Counsel the Procurement team on contracts from service providers.

β€’ Investigate relevant legal areas and evaluate contracts and other legal documents.

β€’ Create written analyses for the Senior Counsel or General Counsel.

β€’ Advise on and lead investigations related to whistleblower claims.

β€’ Collaborate on revisions to internal policies and procedures.

β€’ Manage and enhance standard contracts for key operational sectors.

β€’ Assist Sales teams with client inquiries regarding standard contracts.

β€’ Report directly to the General Counsel and collaborate with the Senior Counsel.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in the state bar.

β€’ At least 2 years of experience in a major law firm or corporate legal environment.

β€’ A minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with human resources and employment-law issues under federal and state regulations.

β€’ Experience in handling employment-law claims or litigation.

β€’ Familiarity with reviewing existing and new regulations and providing compliance advice regarding employment-law obligations.

β€’ Some experience in general commercial litigation.

β€’ Some experience managing employment litigation, administrative matters, and arbitration related to employment claims before AAA, JAMS, or other arbitration bodies.

β€’ Experience in reviewing and amending contracts outside of employment-law contexts.

β€’ Strong attention to detail and the ability to articulate facts, circumstances, and applicable law both orally and in writing.

β€’ Some experience advising clients on whistleblower claims and overseeing related investigations, including reporting requirements.

β€’ Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to manage multiple assignments across varying priorities.

β€’ Self-motivated, independent thinker capable of formulating solutions that align with both immediate and long-term company interests.
