This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +33 more states.
• Act as a legal advisor for Relativity’s commercial contracting function and strategic business initiatives.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and provide guidance on customer-facing and strategic commercial transactions.
• Lead negotiations with customers, procurement, and engage in strategic commercial legal work related to technology.
• Manage software, SaaS, cloud services, AI-related offerings, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Collaborate with various teams, including Sales, Partner, Customer Success, Security, Finance, Procurement, IT, Compliance, Global Business Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Offer legal advice and business insights on commercial and operational legal matters.
• Oversee communications with stakeholders and customers.
• Interact with customers to ensure their concerns are effectively addressed.
• Enhance contracting processes, including standard forms and their variations.
• Utilize and assess AI legal technology tools to boost efficiency.
• Assist with strategic pricing initiatives, pricing governance projects, and the optimization of commercial models.
• Engage in the internal approval workflow system, prioritize contracts, and address stakeholder and client inquiries.
• Four (4) to six (6) years of relevant experience either in-house or at a law firm focusing on technology transactions (preferred).
• Proven experience in negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing, and enterprise commercial agreements.
• Background in supporting complex commercial contracting environments.
• Familiarity with technology, including legal technology, cloud services, software licensing models, information security, privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience in supporting AI-enabled products and navigating emerging technology issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Attributes such as intelligence, flexibility, creativity, diligence, resourcefulness, responsiveness, and strong communication skills.
• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Valid license to practice in the United States.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Ability to research and analyze legal issues effectively.
• Proficient in AI tools, legal technology tools, Microsoft O365/MS Office, legal research platforms and tools, Salesforce, Ironclad, Asana, and contract management software.
