This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Evaluate and contrast existing exposures while formulating renewal specifications for marketing purposes.
• Recognize and proactively manage year-over-year variations in underwriting data, general calculations, and claim values.
• Partner with Claim Managers on claims oversight, review processes, and overall communication regarding claims.
• Provide guidance on the total cost of risk associated with insurance premiums and claims.
• Analyze and provide insights into the insurance renewal process, marketing outcomes, and renewal strategies.
• Work directly with Claims Managers, Legal, and Business teams to guarantee prompt handling of DOI's and Subpoenas.
• Review and negotiate client contracts, RFP submissions, and vendor selections.
• Examine financial statements for accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with internal departments, business leaders, brokers, and underwriters.
• Identify issues and take proactive measures to resolve them.
• Offer training and guidance as necessary for team members.
• Maintain ongoing collaboration with internal claim managers, business associates, brokers, external counsel, and third parties.
• Support the technical and operational needs of the Corporate Risk Management Department.
• Manage extensive corporate insurance programs, including budgeting, policy summaries, language comparison reviews, and other designated tasks.
• Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field of education and experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience working collaboratively with corporate departments, clients, attorneys, and carriers.
• At least five (5) years of experience in insurance procurement, placement, or insurance risk management.
• Over five (5) years of robust experience in property & casualty, employee benefits, and/or agency operations.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with claims management software or database management.
• Familiarity with Corporate Risk Management Information System (RMIS) data standards, design, reports, and data integrity.
• Possession of Property Casualty Insurance Licenses, Associate in Risk Management, and/or Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
• Capability to work effectively in a team environment and promote teamwork.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Proactive and adept at planning, organization, and time management.
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with solid problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced comprehension of insurance policy language and its implications for accurate comparison and analysis.
