📋 Description

• Actively seek out vertical-market software enterprises that align with investment objectives.

• Conduct market research to evaluate strategic fit, investment potential, and prioritize prospects.

• Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with founders, business owners, and senior executives.

• Collaborate with senior leadership and the M&A execution team to progress opportunities through assessment, offers, and closures.

• Work together with colleagues on research, outreach, calls, meetings, and evaluating opportunities.

• Provide insightful feedback and lead by example to enhance sourcing, prioritization, and investment decisions.

• Utilize AI-driven tools to enhance market mapping, target research, prospecting, prioritization, and workflow efficiency.

• Uphold a robust CRM discipline to ensure transparency in activities, learning, and progress.

• Report directly to the Portfolio Leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, strategic acquisitions, or a closely related field.

• Proven track record in sourcing, qualifying, and advancing acquisition opportunities, beyond merely supporting transaction execution.

• Experience in engaging credibly with founders, owners, and senior executives through research-driven and relationship-focused origination.

• Familiarity with vertical-market software or a strong capacity to comprehend specialized software businesses and their markets.

• A clear perspective on the responsible application of AI in research, sourcing, prioritization, and workflow enhancement.

• Intellectual curiosity, proactive initiative, sound judgment, effective communication skills, and the drive to diligently pursue opportunities.

• Willingness and capability to travel within the United States and Canada.
