Senior Corporate Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting.

• Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and create supporting schedules.

• Conduct analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting challenges.

• Ensure that financial transactions are recorded in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.

• Review account activities, probe unusual transactions, and suggest appropriate accounting treatments.

• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and operational efficiency.

• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Carry out internal control activities while adhering to company policies and accounting best practices.

• Assist with the annual external audit, including preparing audit schedules, collecting supporting documents, and ensuring audit readiness.

• Support internal and external reporting requirements.

• Work collaboratively with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other business units to ensure the accuracy of financial information and enhance cross-functional processes.

• Engage in special projects and other ad hoc accounting initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, encompassing both public accounting and/or industry experience.

• A strong grasp of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

• Proven experience in assessing and enhancing accounting processes and documentation.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across the accounting organization.

• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA is preferred.

• Experience with Big 4 firms is preferred.

• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred.

• Experience in high-growth, private equity-backed, or rapidly scaling organizations is preferred.

• Experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred.

• Experience in capital-intensive industries such as data centers, technology, infrastructure, real estate, or construction is a plus.
