Senior Conversational AI, Prompt Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop, design, and enhance prompts for Voice AI agents and chatbots.

• Troubleshoot and optimize prompts to ensure accuracy in responses, natural language flow, and user satisfaction.

• Ensure context continuity in both chat-based and voice-based interactions.

• Utilize Retell AI and Vapi for seamless, low-latency real-time voice interactions.

• Create logic-driven conversational experiences utilizing LangChain, OpenAI Assistants API, or comparable frameworks.

• Implement SSML and phonetic enhancements for voice applications.

• Employ Markdown and structured data for chat interfaces.

• Customize conversational flows for telehealth users, balancing empathy, medical guidelines, and conversion goals.

• Maintain a uniform AI persona across SMS, web chat, and voice interactions for GLP-1 users.

• Collaborate with clinical, product, and engineering teams.

• Produce performance reports and analyze transcripts, call logs, user feedback, and behavioral data.

• Track trends in speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and LLM reasoning.

• Enhance patient satisfaction, retention, hallucination rates, and latency.

• Complete the application form and submit a skills video.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in prompt engineering within voice AI and text-based conversational systems.

• Demonstrated experience with Retell AI and Vapi.

• Experience with LangChain, Intercom, OpenAI Assistants API, or custom LLM wrappers is highly desirable.

• Direct-to-consumer experience, especially in health-related support or high-intent customer journeys.

• Proven experience conducting A/B testing on prompts.

• Strong analytical skills for assessing conversational performance.

• Comprehensive understanding of the differences in conversational design between spoken and written language.

• Capability to address real-time voice latency issues.

• Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in crafting natural user experiences.

• Proactive approach to problem-solving within regulated telehealth environments.

• Flexibility to adapt in dynamic product and healthcare settings.

• Availability to work from 9 AM to 5 PM EST / U.S. business hours.
