This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the daily social editorial calendar for Wagepoint’s key channels.
• Develop platform-specific copy, schedule, and publish around five social media posts each week.
• Maintain a balance of educational, branding, product-related, customer-focused, and timely content.
• Transform blogs, guides, webinars, videos, research, and customer insights into tailored social stories for each channel.
• Collaborate with design and internal subject-matter experts for briefs, visual direction, and approvals.
• Monitor social media performance, experiment with formats and messages, and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Convert technical SEO, search demand, AI-search behavior, and audience insights into a prioritized content backlog.
• Develop content briefs based on inquiries and intentions from small to medium-sized businesses (SMB) and accounting/bookkeeping audiences.
• Enhance on-page elements, structure, metadata, and internal links.
• Work alongside technical SEO/GEO and web partners to provide recommendations, identify dependencies, and measure outcomes.
• Track rankings, qualified organic traffic, engagement, and conversion signals.
• Craft and refine social copy, conversion copy, product and campaign content, resource updates, and web copy.
• Collect customer inquiries, objections, successes, and challenges from Sales, Customer Success, and other client-facing teams.
• Review the work of internal contributors, specialists, and partner advocates for structure, accuracy, tone, and usefulness.
• Utilize AI for research, brainstorming, repurposing, and quality assurance while retaining human oversight and accountability.
• Oversee editorial calendars, briefs, reviews, and handoffs.
• Establish target audiences, distribution plans, and desired next actions for larger content initiatives.
• Create systems for repurposing content, evergreen refreshes, content governance, and asset reuse.
• Maintain monthly reporting on content performance related to audience growth, engagement, qualified traffic, and conversions.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and enhance priorities, roles, and processes.
• Report directly to the Director of Content & Brand.
• A minimum of seven years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or social content, or equivalent proof of operating at this level.
• A portfolio showcasing strong writing and editing skills across various formats, including work that you have personally created or improved.
• Direct experience managing brand social channels, encompassing editorial planning, publishing, measurement, and iteration.
• Practical experience with SEO/GEO, including understanding search intent, creating content briefs, on-page optimization, internal linking, content refreshes, and performance analysis.
• Capability to simplify complex topics without sacrificing accuracy, particularly where factual information, regulations, or customer trust are concerned.
• Proficiency in using analytics and channel tools for decision-making.
• Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot and Agorapulse; exact matches are not mandatory.
• Strong project judgment in a lean, remote setting.
• Bonus: experience in Canadian payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, fintech, HR technology, B2B SaaS, or other complex or regulated industries.
