This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and document structured content models and metadata frameworks to facilitate scalable content creation, reuse, maintainability, author workflows, and editorial governance.
• Offer technical leadership to engineering teams regarding the consumption, rendering, and scaling of structured content across new user interfaces.
• Mentor team members on content APIs and develop prototype solutions that align with front-end requirements.
• Ensure consistent integration of content across both print and digital workflows.
• Enhance the modeling, tagging, and delivery of complex content to provide a unified user experience.
• Contribute to the long-term content architecture strategy for the Authentic Work Platform.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product teams, and cross-functional partners.
• Design content systems that balance usability for authors with machine readability and adaptable front-end rendering.
• Oversee content migrations, governance enhancements, and large-scale model redesigns.
• Work together on reusable components, content validation, and API integration.
• Utilize content architecture for personalization, AI-readiness, search functionality, and findability.
• 4–6 years of experience in designing structured content or data models and workflows for digital products.
• Proficiency in structured content systems like XML/DITA.
• Experience in production-scale, user-facing environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management systems such as Drupal and XDocs.
• Knowledge of authoring workflows and metadata frameworks.
• Capability to read and troubleshoot delivery APIs.
• Experience with scripting transformations.
• Ability to analyze markup and metadata to inform modeling decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A systems-thinking and architectural mindset towards scalable, maintainable, and reusable content design.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills across cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4–6 years of experience with structured content systems, or equivalent experience in a content engineering role.
• Willingness to travel 3–5 times a year to College Board offices or for College Board business.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Ability to learn and independently apply new digital tools proactively.
