This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, reviewing, and maintaining Machines, Pro Labs, and Cloud Labs primarily for the Hack The Box Enterprise platform.
• Occasionally provide contributions to other Hack The Box products.
• Design, create, test, and maintain realistic enterprise, cloud, and hybrid lab environments, challenges, and machines.
• Consider business objectives while producing content and making technical decisions.
• Collaborate daily with the Content Development team, Infrastructure team, and other stakeholders to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Investigate emerging technologies, attack methodologies, enterprise solutions, cloud services, and security trends.
• Automate workflows and infrastructure deployment processes to enhance the efficiency of content production, testing, and maintenance.
• Develop scalable multi-network environments that integrate Active Directory, cloud services, enterprise applications, security controls, and modern infrastructure technologies.
• Contribute to technical documentation, solution validation, and quality assurance processes for globally delivered training content.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Extensive experience with enterprise technologies and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in designing and administering Active Directory environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking, including routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and enterprise network architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
• Proficient in scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
• Understanding of AI technologies and their practical applications.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to learn new skills efficiently.
• Ability to independently organize and manage multiple projects remotely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in creating enterprise, cloud, or hybrid training labs and educational content.
• Background in web application and/or network penetration testing.
• Previous experience in developing vulnerable machines, challenges, labs, or Capture The Flag (CTF) content.
• Hold an “Elite Hacker” or higher rank on Hack The Box.
• Have participated in Capture The Flag (CTF) events or developed challenges.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware Workstation, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Experience in system administration for both Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in content creation, technical writing, or training development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience (bonus).
