Senior Consultant, Transportation – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage relationships with parcel providers, including FedEx.

• Offer real-time shipment oversight and intervention impacting patient care.

• Handle account administration tasks such as account creation/setup, invoice alignment, shipment access, and the establishment of shipping profiles.

• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Success, and external transportation providers.

• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews that cover metrics, projects, and areas for improvement, complete with action plans.

• Create pricing models for existing and prospective clients.

• Act as project manager for transportation initiatives, focusing on cost reduction and service enhancement projects.

• Develop and sustain project plans, track milestones, identify risks, and facilitate issue resolution.

• Coordinate activities across various locations while communicating with leadership and stakeholders.

• Lead project status meetings and deliver updates suitable for executives.

• Serve as the primary operational contact for Nuclear accounts.

• Address parcel-related issues in collaboration with customers and internal teams.

• Organize operational planning for holidays, weather events, and network interruptions.

• Identify operational opportunities and suggest process enhancements.

• Create, assess, and communicate parcel performance metrics.

• Engage in weekly business review meetings with FedEx and Nuclear stakeholders.

• Track performance, recognize trends, and propose process improvements.

• Produce recurring and ad hoc reports.

• Transform operational data into actionable insights to enhance customer experience and ensure timely performance.

• Foster partnerships across Nuclear, Customer Success, Transportation Engineering, Data Analytics, Sales, and external transportation partners.

• Lead regular operational meetings and facilitate communication between internal teams and customers.

• Prepare presentations, status updates, and communications for leadership.

• Promote cross-functional collaboration and drive customer satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.

• At least 8 years of experience is preferred.

• Experience in transportation, supply chain, logistics, operations, customer success, or project management is preferred.

• Proven track record in managing complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to analyze operational data and recognize trends.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.

• Experience in supporting customer implementations or onboarding programs is preferred.

• Background in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, transportation, or logistics operations is preferred.

• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), routing, and network operations.

• Experience in developing executive presentations, operational reports, and process documentation is preferred.

• Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or other project management certifications are advantageous.

• Strong project management and organizational abilities.

• Capability to influence without direct authority.

• Customer-centric mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.

• Strategic thinker who can balance tactical execution with long-term operational enhancements.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel within the United States up to 20%.
