Senior Consultant, Regulatory Audit and Internal Controls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the mapping and evaluation of corporate processes

• Assess risks, controls, interdependencies, and potential business impacts

• Carry out and evaluate control testing related to the processes under review

• Spot opportunities for enhancement

• Suggest mitigating controls for the risks identified

• Create clear and well-organized reports

• Determine the root causes and effects of audit findings

• Recommend feasible improvements that align with business realities

• Read and interpret Argentine legislation relevant to financial institutions and companies within the insurance sector

• Conduct interviews in Spanish with process owners

• Discuss processes, risks, controls, findings, and recommendations in Spanish

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum of five years’ experience in internal audit, internal controls, risk management, or related fields

• Demonstrated experience in regulatory environments involving brokerage firms and insurance companies

• Understanding of internal controls

• Familiarity with risk management

• Knowledge of corporate governance

• Awareness of regulations applicable to financial institutions and insurance companies, including those set forth by the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen/BCB), Susep, and other regulatory agencies

• Experience in mapping and assessing corporate processes

• Experience in executing and reviewing control testing

• Capability to identify improvement opportunities and suggest mitigating controls

• Proficient in preparing clear reports that highlight the causes and impacts of findings and recommend practical enhancements

• Fluent in Spanish

• Ability to read and interpret Argentine laws relevant to financial institutions and companies in the insurance sector

• Spanish proficiency for conducting interviews and discussing processes

• Advanced English skills

• Availability to start immediately

• Professional experience with a Big Four firm is an advantage
