Senior Consultant, Monitoring, Evaluation, Quality Improvement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement evaluation frameworks, encompassing logic model creation, indicator design, planning for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

• Perform epidemiologic analyses, conduct surveillance reviews, execute community health assessments, and carry out various data-driven evaluations.

• Utilize contribution analysis and other evaluative methodologies for intricate, multi-initiative public health programs.

• Enhance quality improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement, facilitating QI projects, and creating tools and guidance.

• Assist in preparing for public health accreditation (PHAB), which includes managing performance systems, reviewing documentation, and mapping domains.

• Oversee project design while nurturing client relationships.

• Act as a technical expert or individual contributor in specialized workstreams.

• Ensure projects are managed to achieve exemplary client satisfaction.

• Serve as the project manager and primary client contact, ensuring projects remain within scope, on schedule, and within budget.

• Coordinate between internal team members, client staff, subcontractors, and partner organizations.

• Maintain relationships with senior leadership in health departments and state agency personnel.

• Function as a liaison among clients, community partners, and project stakeholders.

• Contribute to public health initiatives, training programs, and technical assistance activities.

• Create and sustain systems for project tracking, data management, and reporting.

• Generate technical reports, data summaries, dashboards, presentations, and policy or procedural documentation.

• Engage in community outreach, utilizing participatory evaluation and assessment techniques.

• Develop tools, templates, and guidance that enhance client capabilities.

• Facilitate onboarding and skill development for junior BME staff.

• Play a role in proposal writing, developing scopes, and identifying opportunities within existing accounts.

• Actively pursue outreach, identify new clients and RFPs, and recognize business opportunities.

• Execute additional tasks that support BME’s mission and commitments to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required, including at least 4 years in a consulting environment.

• A Master’s degree in Public Health or a related discipline is necessary.

• At least 5 years of client-facing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in project leadership roles.

• Experience in a management consulting firm is mandatory.

• Proven track record of managing client relationships and expanding account scope through quality delivery is essential.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quantitative and/or qualitative methods.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong project management instincts are required.

• Skilled in facilitation techniques.

• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, R, Stata, Tableau, or similar).

• Knowledge of public health systems and practices at both local and state levels.

• Understanding of data modernization in the public health sector is beneficial.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting setting.

• Experience in program evaluation, evaluation design, epidemiologic methods and analysis, quality improvement, or support for public health accreditation (PHAB) documentation or readiness is preferred.

• Experience with state-scale or multi-site evaluation design is an advantage.

• People management experience is preferred.
