Senior Consultant II, Vended Application - Zscaler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Manage, configure, and provide support for Zscaler platforms, which include ZIA, ZPA, and associated security services.

• Facilitate secure internet access, implement Zero Trust Network Access, conduct SSL inspection, enhance web security, ensure DNS security, and establish cloud-delivered security controls.

• Collaborate with network, security, cloud, identity, and application teams to deploy solutions.

• Assess business and technical needs, offering recommendations on platform capabilities, policies, and configurations.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to user access, application connectivity, traffic forwarding, authentication, policy enforcement, and performance.

• Set up and oversee security policies, access controls, application segments, forwarding profiles, and authentication integrations.

• Lead or assist in platform improvements, deployments, and operational initiatives.

• Review, test, and validate vendor software updates, new features, and service enhancements.

• Engage in functional, integration, user acceptance, and post-implementation testing.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.

• Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through automation, APIs, scripting, and process improvements.

• Oversee incidents, service requests, vendor support interactions, and problem investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting enterprise security technologies.

• Proven experience in administering or supporting Zscaler solutions in a large enterprise environment.

• Familiarity with cloud-delivered security platforms, secure web gateways, Zero Trust solutions, or similar technologies.

• Experience in troubleshooting network connectivity, authentication, DNS, proxy, SSL/TLS, and application access challenges.

• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, or comparable platforms.

• Practical experience with ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, or other SSE/SASE platforms.

• Strong comprehension of Zero Trust architecture and contemporary enterprise security principles.

• Proficiency with REST APIs, automation, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git-based workflows, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience in supporting enterprise cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.

• Must be willing to undergo a background investigation.
