Senior Consultant II, Infrastructure Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the enterprise Infrastructure as Code strategy, standards, governance, and adoption roadmap.

• Create, enhance, and support scalable infrastructure automation solutions across various hosted platforms.

• Construct reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation capabilities.

• Utilize tools such as Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Python, or similar technologies to develop automation.

• Employ AI-assisted engineering and Specification-Driven Design methodologies.

• Integrate responsible AI practices, security controls, governance, and risk management within enterprise automation platforms.

• Design and implement APIs and integrations for infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services.

• Propel CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infrastructure delivery.

• Collaborate with platform product teams to enhance IaC adoption and commercialize infrastructure capabilities.

• Produce documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs.

• Utilize cross-domain expertise across compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infrastructure services.

• Work alongside platform, server, security, networking, and application teams to convert manual infrastructure delivery into an automated operating model.

• This role does not involve any supervisory responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles, patterns, and engineering practices.

• Experience in continuous collaborative pair programming.

• Significant experience in developing infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Env0, Puppet, or similar platforms.

• Proven track record in establishing and scaling enterprise infrastructure automation projects.

• Strong software engineering approach focused on maintainability, testing, version control, and automation.

• Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.

• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review processes.

• Experience in creating reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services.

• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, and platform services.

• Capability to influence engineering teams and promote the adoption of technical standards.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to balance strategic vision with practical technical execution.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred.

• Background investigation is required.
