Senior Consultant, Forecasting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain forecasting models across various project types and therapeutic domains.

• Create demand forecasts, patient-centric forecasts, patient flow forecasts, business development valuations, and long-term planning models.

• Perform scenario analyses and conduct sensitivity testing.

• Analyze and interpret life sciences data to extract actionable business insights.

• Assist in the latest estimate cycles and annual planning initiatives for clients.

• Oversee individual workstreams and key deliverables within client engagements.

• Collaborate on client projects with Engagement Managers and project leadership.

• Engage in client discussions, presentations, and collaborative working sessions.

• Provide analyses, forecasts, and materials ready for client presentation.

• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of assigned tasks.

• Work alongside forecasting leadership and cross-functional teams in market research, commercial analytics, data science, and data solutions.

• Promote knowledge sharing and best practices in forecasting.

• Aid in the training and mentoring of junior team members when appropriate.

• Contribute to process enhancements, forecasting methodologies, and quality assurance practices.

• Assist in proposal development and business development initiatives.

• Contribute to internal forecasting projects, tools, and best practices.

• Engage in team-building and capability development activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in life sciences forecasting.

• Preferred experience or familiarity with life sciences data and analytics.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative, business, or a related field.

• Proven experience in supporting demand forecasting, business development forecasting, NPV analyses, value forecasting, long-range planning cycles, and/or latest estimate processes.

• Experience in developing and delivering forecasting models that support strategic business decisions.

• Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience in constructing forecasting models and interpreting their outputs.

• Familiarity with commercial pharmaceutical and biotechnology data.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (preferably with VBA experience).

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.

• Strong organizational and project management proficiency.
