Senior Consultant, Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of business context and objectives by gathering and analyzing requirements from stakeholders, including business users, data engineers, and data scientists.

• Operationalize business inquiries using data.

• Leverage knowledge of relational databases, data architecture, and data modeling.

• Construct intricate SQL queries to address business inquiries.

• Create conceptual data models, entity relationship diagrams, and business process models.

• Transform and cleanse data utilizing R, SQL, or Python.

• Analyze, interpret, and communicate data insights to clients.

• Oversee and develop drag-and-drop dashboards for regular reports and on-demand requests.

• Build trust, cultivate relationships, and develop rapport with both technical and non-technical team members.

• Document data analysis procedures and results.

• Apply industry or subject matter expertise, such as finance, employment, hospitality, or web analytics.

• Employ agile methodologies to analyze, define, and document business requirements for software solutions that align with organizational objectives.

• Assist clients with their digital product requirements from vision through to roadmap and execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT or a related field.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure complex or ambiguous business challenges.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of reporting and presenting findings to diverse stakeholders.

• Practical experience using tools that assist clients in making data-driven decisions.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Preferred experience with cloud analytics platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.

• Preferred understanding of statistics and experience with statistical packages for data analysis.

• Knowledge and application of core Agile values and principles is a plus.

• Proactive in learning new strategies and trends to enhance analytical, technical, and technological skills.
