Senior Construction Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning and execution of assigned retail projects across North America, managing up to 10 projects annually.

• Direct the complete life cycle of designated retail construction projects.

• Collaborate with Real Estate, Store Design, and leadership on project timelines and milestones.

• Review and assist in the negotiation of Landlord Work Letters.

• Participate in Landlord Kick-off calls and coordinate requirements for landlord work.

• Work alongside Store Design and Expeditors on submissions to building departments.

• Review and provide feedback on preliminary design sets; identify long-lead materials and potential project risks.

• Manage the bidding and awarding processes for contractors and vendors.

• Coordinate with landlord representatives to initiate construction and facilitate store openings.

• Develop and communicate Vendor Delivery Schedules.

• Oversee external vendor relationships throughout the construction phase.

• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, payment applications, invoices, and change orders.

• Lead weekly OAC meetings with project stakeholders.

• Maintain precise budget forecasts in collaboration with the Construction Finance Manager.

• Liaise with Operations, IT, Finance, Marketing, and Facilities teams.

• Conduct regular site visits to assess quality and adherence to schedule.

• Generate and monitor contractor punch lists.

• Assist the New Store Opening team during the merchandising process.

• Secure closeout documents and lien waivers for Tenant Allowance requests.

• Provide insights to enhance construction schedules and reduce buildout costs.

• Keep comprehensive project files.

• Travel frequently, up to 30% of the time.

• 6-8 years of project management experience in specialty or luxury retail environments.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various development stages.

• Understanding of labor and material costs, along with best practices in the retail construction sector.

• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.

• Proficient in using Project Management Software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, etc.).

• Experience in a fast-paced working environment.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Proactive, positive, and professional demeanor.

• Ability to perform tasks with discretion, poise, and often confidentiality.
