Senior Communications Specialist – Social Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Middle East.

📋 Description

• Develop and lead the communications strategy across various channels

• Provide ongoing analysis and reporting on communication channels, content performance, and campaign outcomes

• Assist in expanding and cultivating Canonical’s enterprise audience while boosting product adoption

• Generate copy and materials that align with the brand and are designed to motivate audience engagement

• Utilize modern tools to gauge market sentiment

• Raise awareness for integrated campaigns, product launches, webinar series, industry announcements, and core content

• Creatively package Canonical’s product offerings and educational resources

• Manage the distribution strategy and ensure alignment across different channels

• Report directly to the director of communications

• Knowledge of best practices for communications within the tech industry

• Extensive experience with all major social media platforms and strong creative judgment

• Practical knowledge of social media management and analytics tools

• Interest in mentoring and developing team members

• Analytical mindset with the capability to create measurement frameworks that aid senior decision-making

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Strong skills in content marketing

• Proven track record of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines without compromising quality

• Experience managing organic social media processes and leading planning and distribution across channels

• Interest in video production, with previous projects or strong ideas regarding the use of video in social media

• Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal or external events
